Cool. DrO is OK. This is some of the R and B we used to listen to way back when in HS.

Yes, thanks very much, he's doing pretty good. He likes R & B and those singers with SOUL. I heard a little of Janis Joplin on Imus early this morning. Poor drugged out soul, she could sure belt out the tunes, too.

Great quote by Johnny Cash at 1:01:30 above after singing Bobby McGee--Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose--where he thanks God for all the freedoms we have in this country--even the right to burn the flag. The audience booed, but then he goes on to say... and the right to keep and bear arms. And if you burn my flag, I'll shoot you. And the audience cheers.
Then he goes on to perform "Ragged Old Flag."

Crazy
Crazy for feeling so lonely
I'm crazy
Crazy for feeling so blue
I knew
You'd love me as long as you wanted
And then someday
You'd leave me for somebody new
Worry
Why do I let myself worry
Wonderin'
What in the world did I do
Crazy
For thinking that my love could hold you
I'm crazy for tryin'
Crazy for cryin'
And I'm crazy
For lovin' you
Crazy for feeling so lonely
I'm crazy
Crazy for feeling so blue
I knew
You'd love me as long as you wanted
And then someday
You'd leave me for somebody new

"Your post pulled at my heart as I listened to Patsy ...just as much as her song did. Patsy brings a tear to my face when I listen to her ...so sometimes I do just for the experience of deep feelings, and the inevitable tear. Tammy's Stand by Your Man pulls my strings too. I'm a young senior now, with so much regret and so many mistakes to look back on ...and alone, like you. But any day above ground is still a good day."

Patsy Cline was one of my favorite country & western singers when I was a teenager. I liked R&B the best, but also listened to R&R and C&W.

Gee Jim I didn't know you have such outstanding taste in music. Patsy Cline is a longtime favorite of mine. The steel guitar is so sweet.

It's a "one world" socialist peacenik organization but they did a pretty good job with these videos. Apparently, they hooked up with some street singers then recorded performers from various cities around the world to back them up. Recorded them all and mixed it into a great series of videos.
