Figured this out
There is a share button on YT that brings up an embed link. However when I paste it, nothing shows. The link it creates has a weird period in the middle of it. Simply copying the url from the address bar solves that.
Jim Robinson:
You are absolutely correct. Paste the url only in the embed field for youtubes. We're not going to be able to allow embed html because there are too many security holes and too much room for malicious mischief. Will build routines for c-span videos and others as I get time.

Jim Robinson:
By the way, if you RIGHT click on a youtube video, it gives you a menu where you can chose to copy the url for the video. Makes it very easy to get the proper url to post.

Example;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Q-pXD0FXLQ8

Page layouts
graphic appears on every page. Is that going to be "hard wired" in? I see that on the sandbox page there is a list of links below the graphic. How do I add that to my pages?

"I see that on the sandbox page there is a list of links below the graphic. How do I add that to my pages?"

Right or left sidebar? On the left sidebar you can click on "AddLink" to add a menu and then you can add links to it. Will eventually have menus in the right sidebar too. When I get it programmed in, you'll see an "AddLink" button there too. But we do have a "sbseq" field on your user page edit form. Click "(edit)" at the top of your page just next to your page name. I believe the default for that field is zero. If you put a number in it, it will cause a section to open up in your right sidebar with a list of the latest 10 posts on that page. If you have multiple pages set up on your account, you can pick and choose which ones you wish to have sections for in your sidebar. The sb sections are listed in alphabetic sequence within sbseq number. So, just place a "1" in sbseq for all pages you want listed and they'll be listed alphabetically. Or you can control the sequence by listing them 1, 2, 3, 4 or 10, 20, 30, 40, etc.

One additional note on the sidebars. The left sidebar stays with you (or anyone reading your pages) on all of your pages. The right sidebar is tied to the specific page you're on. I'll be adding menus and possibly some other user features later for that sidebar and you can place links in it that are related to your page content. I'm also planning a page control where you can specify no right sidebar for a page, This might be used to accommodate wider graphics or other material where needed. Also have reader page controls in mind, where a reader can toggle sidebar buttons at the top of the page. Sidebar on, sidebar off.

LOL!

Smashed his foot up pretty bad, couldn't walk or work for months.
Came around the corner at 60mph and there was the bear galloping across the road.
The kid looked him in the eye and then bam...killed the bear instantly and he managed to fishtail long enough so he could live through it with the mashed up foot and some pretty gnarly road rash...which is just a minor annoyance to him as he is a dirt bike rider also.

I was flying over his place on my majik carpet and took this picture.

His dirt track looks just like a bear!
