This is my first attempt at using the html 5 audio feature for background music as we were discussing the other day. Works great in Chrome. Doesn't start until you click on the icon. IE auto started. Don't like that.

Click (edit) near the top of your home page and just to the right.

This opens a form where you can specify a page banner and page text. The text block is HTML enabled.

I set up a sample on tomt's test account (click the embedded link). Google "html5 audio control" for sample coding, or view the source of tomt's home page.

Good luck. Hope it works in other browsers.

But I most diligently turned off "center" more than once.
If I could turn it on, shouldn't the same routine allow me to turn it off?
I don't know squat about such things, but hell.. an "on" button implies an "off" button.

I'll shut up now and do no more harm.

A ha! Wondered where you were using html. Found it. Great start! Stay with it.

Maybe if I deleted my hunting page entirely?
02/16/2013 15:26:46 PST ·

I think you need to only use center once if you want everything centered below it, then you only have to close it once at he end of the series. In any case, you need close it once for each time you use it.

I only intended it for the header and opening text, then I closed it.
Let me go back and see how many centers I axed for.

OK, maybe I've grasped something.
Here we are discussing my hunt page, with my graphics and such up top... but we ain't
ON the hunt page, and me crying slash-center HERE has no effect on the errant bit of HTML
because we're not technically ON the page that the errant HTML resides on.. maybe?

But if THAT is so.. how did the effects of the center command show up elsewhere?

Oh, what a tangled web we weave when in HTML we believe...

It's a very tricky thing with a much convoluted answer to which I'm totally unprepared to delve into completely at this time. But long story short, when you click on latest posts or latest comments, it's really not going to any permanent page. It starts with your page, and then lists the latest posts or comments right there in your center column. Been confused about that m'self on more than one occasion. ~Jim

There. Back to myself.

Jim Robinson:
No one else was seeing the problems with your page, unless they actually went to your page. But then, there are no posts listed on your page yet, so all we saw was the top part--which is a mighty fine part, IMHO. Keep it up.
