Give a listen to these boys from Norway on the Kenny Rogers classic: Kurt Nilsen, Espen Lind, Askil Holm and Alejandro Fuentes, originally from Chile. The harmonies these guys put out are beautiful.
Kurt Nilsen, full-time plumber from near Bergen, Norway barely qualified in Norway's Idol and then placed number 1 in the World Idol competition.

I'm a Man of Constant Sorrow first recorded in 1923 by Dick Burnett

When I first listened to them, I found it difficult to believe that they were Norwegian so here's their version of I'm a Man of Constant Sorrow.

You'll hear Norwegian spoken in the introduction to the song. All four are equally talented although Kurt Nilsen might be the most popular one. Kurt Nilsen is the blondish red-haired singer and full-time plumber. Alejandro Fuentes is the youngest singer originally from Chile and is the second vocalist you see in this video. Espen Lind and Askil Holm are the other two.

Hope you enjoy them as much as me because this is a case where when I hear one song from them I want to hear more.
Espen Lind (on guitar), Askil Holm, Alejandro Fuentes (born in Chile), Kurt Nilsen (World Idol) sing Hallelujah written by Leonard Cohen.

Okay I'll stop now.

Hmm, it now says embedding disabled by request. YouTube doesn't lose anything from this.

There is an embedded link situated on YouTube so I'll replace one link for the other. Hope it's not breaking any copyright rules but I don't see how it would be. YouTube still gets the clicks and credit.

Oh well, it's one of their best and it's mostly a capella.

If you can click on this link it's worth a listen. It's Lind, Nilsen, Fuentes and Holm singing Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen mostly a capella on some kind of Norwegian talk show.

Copy and paste this if this link doesn't work and

it will take you to the video on You Tube.

Update: removed one of the videos because. Here's a reference link in case I change my mind later on.

Here's a live concert of them singing the same song which I've tried to embed and failed above.

There's around 25 seconds of them speaking in Norwegian if you wish to skip ahead.

The audio is incredible which makes me wonder how many Krone the Norwegian concert promoters are willing to sign off on in the riders to the performance contract. Sound and light companies charge mega dollars here in the USA and don't come close to the sound in this performance.

Norwegian speak English better than many folks I've met here on the West Coast. According to a Norwegian friend, learning English in school is mandatory there. They begin teaching English in Kindergarten and expect the kids to be fluent very quickly. I won't begin my rant about US schools here, maybe later. :)

By the way... I love the way you've got this set up Jim!
It's also great being able to edit errors out of my posts, replace malfunctioning links.
Having fun testing every feature.
