Wow what a long list, Jim!
Re # 3: Jim, if you're taking votes on midi music - please mark me as "no, please don't do it."

If we do it, I think it would have to be "Click to start," ie, no auto start.

Okay, edit menus is ready. If you've added a links menu to your page, you should now see an "Edit" link beside the menu name. Click that and it should pull up a form where you can add change or delete menu items. You can also add new menu link categories, ie, completely new menus.

Jim, I think I'm too drowsy or thick-headed today to be able to figure out what you mean by "Menu" or "links menu" and today anyway, I probably wouldn't spot one if it were right in front of me.

If you have a few minutes, please point one out or maybe give me a "fer instance."

Thank you kindly.

Go to your home page and see if you have an "AddLink" button in your sidebar. Click it and you can add a menu of links to your page. Actually, you can add several menus of links if you wish. See my home page for examples. I added menus for associations, media and talk shows..

I remain unable to remove others' comments/posts on my own page.. hunting specifically.
Which page, by the way, I intend to flesh out more. Because it'll be teh awesome.

(Ping to) Don-O used it as a means to "PM" me, which was wise, but I got a storyline
to build and it ain't ready for interaction yet.

Also planning a "My posts" link on the user's sidebar and a "My comments" link. They will list posts and comments posted by you. Also a "My active threads." Basically a latest "active" posts list for threads you started. Active meaning people are posting to it. And, of course, there will be "My pings" which will list posts and comments posted directly to you.

You sell the concept and then pray it will be there in time for delivery. Kinda like the "miracle box" in systems design flow charts. The box labeled, "And then a miracle happens here."

To All:

I'm currently working on these two items which are integrally related:

4) Pings, tags, like. - started.

17) "Reply to:" on each comment line (opens a "reply to" form and pings recipient).

When I get it finished, there will be a new "Comment" link at the bottom of each post and comment.

The old comment form that is at the bottom of each thread will be replaced.

When you click on "Comment" it will open a form with three fields:

Ping to:
Comment:
Embed:

The ping to field will be pre-loaded with the screen name of the poster you are replying to. You can erase it if you wish, and or add a name or a comma separated list of names after it.

When your comment posts, it will ping and notify all names you entered similar to FR.

And I'm also planning the ability for you to enter or paste in an "@namedpinglist" that you name and maintain on your pages. If you have named ping lists (named by topic or purpose, etc) on your home page or other pages, Posters may add or remove their names at any time to or from your named ping lists (this feature may not be in the initial release of this project).

In addition to Comment, Like and Tag, I'll be adding a "Ping" link on the same line. This Ping link will open a form where you can ping posters to an existing post or comment, even if you're not the poster

I'm doing all of these together because they share some common routines.

Please bear with me on this. I'm going to try to ease it in without breaking the system, but who knows. May be some dust and construction noise in the next few days. Also, if you suddenly see the existing comment box disappear, look for the new comment link instead. It should be listed at the bottom of each post and comment.

Jim Robinson:
Also, if you see something like "Comment-test" or "Like-test" it's just me testing an incomplete untested routine and it might, er, probably will break (or do nothing).
